Sanding and Refinishing
At Ace Floor Refinishing we know that the wood's greatest asset is its ability to be sanded and refinished to look like new. With our top quality line of sanding equipment and commercial grade acrylic urethane finishes, we guarantee that solid wood flooring can be professionally sanded and finished. The floor is sanded with up to 180 grit sandpaper, creating a furniture-like smoothness. After the process is complete, you will see the thoroughness taken in each step of the job. This process is virtually dust free, requiring minimal cleanup.

Recoating (for unwaxed floors)
If you don't require complete refinishing, you may want the screen and buff procedure. It refreshes the final appearance for those with minor scratches, worn, or dull looking floors. Minor scratches can be removed but not the ones that are deeper into the finish of the floor itself. This procedure involves buffing, vacuuming thoroughly and re-coating the floor.

Installation
When it comes to new floor installation, we use top quality wood and tools to beautify your home or office.

Our method of installing hardwood floors on concrete is a plywood sub-floor. Plywood sheets are nailed over a tar substance to provide a strong moisture barrier. Following this procedure, the hardwood is installed where each board is nailed every 4-6" to provide a secure, uniform looking floor.

Following installation, the floor is sanded to a level surface, buffed and carefully vacuumed. Finally, three coats of commercial grade acrylic urethane are applied to the floor.

Custom designed floors are offered to those customers who want a one-of-a-kind look.
